Day 6 – Cast out FEAR, acquire CONFIDENCE

Even the bravest people have known fear but they choose to cast it out and not be defined by their fears. So stop quaking in your boots and choose to be CONFIDENT. Don’t be defined by your fears.

You have a purpose, to impact on your audience. This you cannot achieve by giving in to fear. Suppose Martin Luther King had given in to fear or Nelson Mandela or anybody that had done anything worthwhile, where will the world be?

Prof. Walter Dill Scott says: “Success or failure in business is caused more by mental attitude even than by mental capacity.” As a Public Speaker, you cannot afford to have the mental attitude of fear but you must acquire the attitude of confidence.

You gain nothing by cuddling your fears. Don’t make excuses for your fears. Yes, it could be hard to mutter a single word in front of a crowd but nobody has achieved anything great by excusing their fears.

Excusing your fears will simply magnify that weakness. The only way to acquire confidence is by BEING CONFIDENT. You must CHOOSE to not drown in your fear but to be bold like the lion you are!

What do we say to fear? Not today, not ever.

Hope you got value.
