What is your why?

Dear young person, what is your why? Why do you do the things you do? Why do you behave the way you do?

Do you even know your why? Are you just moving with the crowd? Being where everyone is, doing what everyone else is doing…

Sometimes it’s very easy to just move with the trend; be part of a group because everyone else is, attend an event because everyone one else is, start a course because everyone else is, get married because everyone else is, enter a relationship because that’s what everyone is doing…

Now don’t get me wrong, these things in and of themselves aren’t bad for you but when the purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable. If you don’t have a why for attending that event, it’s likely you will still miss out of the opportunities available at that event.

If you don’t know why you read at least three books a month, someone who reads once in a while but understands the why will still be better off than you.

Knowing your why helps you prioritize. There are a lot of things viaing for your attention and it’s important to know which ones are more important.

Finding your why gives you a certain peace and takes away all the unnecessary pressure. All of a sudden, some of the things that seemed important no longer matter because you will discover that there’s no reason to them.

Dear young person, find your why. Don’t let things that are not in line with your why put you under unnecessary pressure.
